As the only national industry association for Australian building professionals, we represent the interests of the housing industry at regional and national levels.
Our extensive membership program supports residential builders, trade contractors, developers, design professionals, kitchen and bathroom specialists, manufacturers and suppliers.The Purpose of the Events & Partnership Manager is to strengthen Housing Industry Association (HIA) through the development, management and successful delivery of high quality events, awards, partnerships and activities, to achieve strategic, stakeholder and commercial success.Key responsibilities include:Manage, promote, and ensure the profitability of HIA's annual Event Program in Queensland in line with budgetary targetsManage, expand, promote, and deliver HIA's Housing Awards, Kitchen and Bathroom Awards, Apprenticeship Awards and Building Woman Awards in Queensland, including the coordination of entries, judging and event managementManage and deliver a range of Queensland events including trade nights, breakfasts, luncheons, conferences, Awards ceremonies and golf days, and additional events as requiredDevelop and deliver annual partnership and events budgetsManage the relationship with existing partners of HIA to ensure continued partnering of HIA EventsSecure and deliver new partnership revenue to ensure continued profitable events, communications, and publications revenue pipelineIdentify cross promotional opportunities through partnership discussions and sell / upgrade partner agreements accordinglyIdentify opportunities for improvement and growth across events, partnerships, publications, communications and HIA products, and facilitate these initiativesDevelop and implement a communications strategy with national marketing and communications team to ensure effective promotion of HIA Queensland eventsWork to enhance use of social media to promote and highlight the success of HIA events and partnershipsOrganise pre-and-post Award media and communications, including press, and other forms of medium to be negotiated (television and radio)Provide ongoing financial management including maintaining accurate and reliable accounts receivable and payable details to enable monthly reportingManage, coach and support and mentor the Queensland Senior Event and Event Co-coordinator, and other staff, and external third party stakeholdersWork collaboratively with national event and other state managers and coordinators to improve processes and relationships, and to grow the HIA brandBuild and maintain strong relationships with venue partners and hostsBenefitsGenerous salary package on offerLife and Salary Continuance InsuranceSalary Packaging ArrangementsAbility to purchase Annual LeaveFlexible Work ArrangementsPaid Parental Leave above the minimum legislative requirementEmployee Assistance ProgramStudy Assistance and Internal training programs offered to help you growHighly experienced, supportive and inclusive teamAffinity ProgramMilestone RecognitionThe successful person will have:Demonstrated project management experience, with solid experience managing large corporate eventsExperience hosting Award events would be advantageousFinancial management and solid sales skills a mustAbility to identify and realise commercial opportunitiesAbility to deal with partners at a senior level and ensure delivery of partnership commitmentsAbility to manage conflicting prioritiesA team player with a willingness to work as part of a wider remote teamWell-developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to deliver results and reach targetEnthusiastic and resilientStrong presentational skillsExcellent verbal, written and social media-based communication skillsA full job description can be found in the Careers section on our website hia.com.au.If you are interested in joining our team, please click on the link to apply#J-18808-Ljbffr
