We are inviting applications for the newly created role of Manager – Workplace Health and Safety.
Our Schools St Margaret's Anglican Girls School and St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School are two of Queensland's leading independent schools, fostering in students confidence, compassion, academic excellence and a lifelong love of learning.

St Margaret's and St Aidan's Anglican Girls Schools have a shared services model for key business functions.
The purpose of the shared services model is to provide the Schools with high quality business and customer service, whilst ensuring continuous delivery and effective and efficient use of resources.
The role The Manager – Workplace, Health and Safety has a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all staff, students, volunteers, contractors and visitors to the school.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Managing the school's responsibilities in relation to workplace health and safety, to ensure ongoing compliance with workplace health and safety legislation and the safety of all staff, students, volunteers, contractors and visitors.
Proactively encouraging a safety culture, with accountability and risk minimisation across a diverse range of operational environments.
Developing, reviewing and implementing the WHS Management System and ensuring compliance of all workplace health and safety, policies and procedures.
Coordinating training as appropriate for staff in risk management, safety, control of hazards in the workplace, including undertake fire response training.
Provide expert advice and recommendations to the leadership of the schools in relation to workplace health and safety.
Conduct safety inspections and incident management/internal investigations.
Keep abreast of relevant legislative changes in relation to workplace health and safety and risk management and ensure the school's compliance.
About You You will be an experienced and knowledgeable workplace health and safety professional who draws satisfaction from supporting businesses to ensure the safety of their people and working alongside employees to educate them in relation to workplace health and safety.
You will bring: Experience in a similar role in a dynamic environment with demonstrated experience and knowledge implementing workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Strong capabilities to drive continuous improvement and best business outcomes.
A proactive approach to problem solving and seeking, at all times outcomes which improve the workplace.
The ability to build strong relationships with others, building a high level of trust and engagement through the quality of your work and people skills A proven track record of managing change in a diverse environment, including the ability to strategically influence stakeholders at all levels.

This is a full-time role working equally across both St Margaret's Anglican Girls School in Ascot and St Aidan's Anglican Girls School in Corinda.
