About Us The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the development, planning and delivery of comprehensive primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in South-East Queensland.
Together with our four Aboriginal community-controlled founding members, we are focused on our collective vision of healthy, strong and vibrant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities.
The Quality and Innovation team at IUIH plays a crucial role in providing clinical oversight and support to our member services.
We are responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive health and family wellbeing care for urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Our diverse team encompasses expertise in Data and Research, Logistics, Oral Health, Pharmacy, Policy, Social Health, and Regional Clinical Support.
About the Role The Mob Link team at IUIH is dedicated to delivering exemplary primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities within South-East Queensland and are seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our team.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about and committed to enhancing comprehensive, culturally sensitive primary healthcare services, and improving access to healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We have Full Time, Part Time and Casual opportunities available.

About You Willingness to travel to IUIH sites as required.Vocationally Registered (VR) General Practitioner.Unconditional registration with AHPRA / Medical Board of Australia.Current Medical Indemnity Insurance.Ability to work sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, their leaders and health professionals, while respecting traditional culture, values and ways of doing business.Eligibility to obtain provider number(s) in the required locations.Minimum five years' post-graduate experience in a primary care setting.Demonstrated clinical experience, in particular the ability to contribute to and support a medical/primary health care team and contribute to effectively planning and coordinating own and health team's workload to achieve results.Demonstrated understanding of the health, social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in urban areas.Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical care and primary health care strategies, including appropriate investigations, treatment and referral.Desirable, but not mandatory: Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.What Can we Offer?
