About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team at Masala Indian Cannon Park' in Thuringowa Central, QLD.
This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional Indian cuisine to our customers.
As our Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

What you'll be doing:
Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes to the highest standardSupervising and training kitchen staff to maintain excellent food quality and serviceDeveloping new menu items and recipes to keep our offering fresh and innovativeEnsuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulationsMaintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environmentCollaborating with the management team to control food costs and waste
What we're looking for:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in an Indian restaurant or similar establishmentFormal culinary training or qualifications in Indian cuisineExcellent knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniquesStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentExcellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and qualityFlexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the businessMinimum Cert IV in hospitality or related field is required
