Headquartered in Brisbane, our footprint spans a truly diverse portfolio of investments and developments in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria — from the operation of retail centres and the development of high-quality residential precincts, through to iconic flagship projects, including The One Residences and The Hamilton.
We are currently seeking a full-time Legal Counsel to join our Legal team based in the CBD.
Key Responsibilities: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various property-related contracts and agreements including acquisition contracts, joint venture agreements, construction contracts, and leases.
Conducting legal due diligence for property acquisitions, including reviewing title searches, planning and zoning regulations, and environmental reports to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Ensuring the company's development projects comply with relevant property, planning, and environmental laws and regulations in Queensland, including town planning, building codes, and property zoning.
Providing strategic legal advice to senior management on all aspects of property development, from land acquisition to construction, financing, and eventual sale or lease of the property.
Liaising with external legal counsel, government authorities, and other stakeholders on property transactions and regulatory matters.
Assist with obtaining planning approvals and dealing with local councils.
Skills/Experience: To be considered for this role you will have:
Between 2-5 years' PAE and an unrestricted practicing certificate; Demonstrated experience in a well-regarded property firm; A commercial approach allowing you to manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
