This role offers the unique chance to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia, with the hotel scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025.
As the Duty Manager - Administration, you will be a vital part of the Front Office Team, responsible for overseeing hotel operations and ensuring all guests' requests are met efficiently and seamlessly, creating memorable experiences.
ResponsibilitiesAssist with setting up the Rooms division during pre-opening.Supervise and support the Front Office team, ensuring exceptional and efficient service is delivered at all times.Assist the Assistant Rooms Manager in creating departmental policies and procedures, implementing Hyatt brand standards and ensuring all are upheld in the ongoing operation.Assist in managing upsell targets, promotions, and events to maximize revenue.Lead the hotel in the absence of senior staff, responding to guest inquiries hotel-wide.Oversee our elite and VIP guests, creating effortless and unique experiences.Respond to emergencies within the hotel, acting as Chief Warden and First Aid Officer.QualificationsYour background: Previous experience working in a Front Office Team as a Team Leader or Supervisor within an upmarket or lifestyle hotel environment.Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, and motivate your team members.The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills along with strong service recovery skills.Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.Full Australian Driver's License (international driver's license may be considered).Hyatt House employees enjoy, but are not limited to:
