About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary teacher to join a supportive P-9 school community in Truganina.
This position, starting immediately, offers a chance to work closely with a dedicated Senior Primary teaching team focused on both academic excellence and student well-being.
The school's leadership team is approachable and committed to fostering a nurturing environment that prepares students for real-world challenges.
With a strong emphasis on Indigenous Cultural Inclusion, the school integrates these elements meaningfully throughout its curriculum.
Graduates and those with permission-to-teach are encouraged to apply, with comprehensive support provided to all new staff.
Key duties: Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum.Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.Skills & Experience: Full Australian Working rights.Minimum 4-year Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification.Current VIT registration.Able to begin January 2025.Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).Offering: A full-time, ongoing position.Instructing students across from grades Foundation to grade 6 - negotiable.Interacting with approachable and transparent leadership.Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000.Continuing opportunities for professional development.The School: Approximately 1,500 students spanning Foundation to Year 9.Warm, inclusive school environment with a progressive educational approach.State-of-the-art facilities with modern amenities.Strong emphasis on integrating Indigenous perspectives throughout the school and curriculum.Accessible and supportive leadership team, providing comprehensive support for both teachers and students.Why work with Tradewind?Tradewind Australia is a specialist education recruitment agency and is the preferred supplier of teachers for many schools across the greater Melbourne / Victoria region.
