Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting) We are recruiting on behalf of our client who is in the Fresh Food, Retail and Hospitality industry for the role of Management Accountant.
About the Opportunity The Management Accountant will be responsible for the internal accounting function of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced professional who can work in a diverse and fast-paced business.
Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insightful analysis to support decision-making.Reconcile accounts and manage the general ledger, maintaining the integrity of financial records.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.Manage accounts payable and debtor/credit control including allocation of customer and supplier payments.Support the year-end process, to ensure a smooth and timely completion.Provide financial advice and guidance to non-financial managers, helping them understand the financial impact of their decisions.Oversee the IT functions and relationship of the business.Skills & Experience Undergraduate degree or Diploma in either Accounting or a related field with working towards professional membership as a CPA or CA.High level of proficiency and experience in Excel (including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups).Sound experience in accounting software sufficient to develop financial and budget models.Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills.A minimum of three years' experience in a similar accounting role.Personal Attributes Hands-on with an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Able to work with people of varied backgrounds.Methodical, process-driven and disciplined.If you believe you meet our requirements and would like to be considered for the position, please forward a cover letter enclosing your CV to us at .
