The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Enrolled Nurse (Inpatient Unit Surgical) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Practice to full scope as set out by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency Effectively manage self and work with the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Facilitator and Clinical Nurse to meet professional development needs Work collaboratively under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Follow policy and procedures About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Must hold a Board (NMBA) approved qualification in medication administration.
Completion of 519HLTEN A, B or C or 007HLTEN will be highly regarded Demonstrated experience as an Enrolled Nurse or at a minimum, 6 months graduate transition post registration Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits

Permanent part time (32 hours per fortnight) Base salary ranging from $35.92 - $38.12 per hour About Us
Surgical Specialties Unit is a 28 Bed Unit that specialises in the delivery of Urology, Gynaecology, Gynae-oncology, Major Head and Neck surgery as well as General ENT (Ears, Nose and Throat), Maxillo-Facial and Plastics care.
Patient numbers undergoing Major Head and Neck Surgery and Gynae-Oncology surgery continue to grow.
Ongoing growth of the Plastic service also continues including major flap reconstructions.
These services continue to increase the acuity of the patients.
