Reporting directly to the CFO & managing a small team, this position is a critical role in securing long-term success for the company.About the RoleYou will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation, conducting accurate data analysis, and offering advice to management on strategies to maximise profits.To succeed in the role, you will have a proactive attitude, strong work ethics, be well organised, and possess the ability to plan ahead and solve problems, along with a strong safety focus and clear communication skills.Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:Mentoring the finance team, distribution of workload, and due datesEnsuring finance team are cross-trained and have up-to-date work instructionsMentoring and coaching the team on statutory and analytical reportingMonthly Financial & Management reporting to trial balanceProviding support to Operational Managers with understanding financials and key metricsCommentary on monthly financial resultsEnsuring month-end close-off process is met within published timeframesOverseeing budget process, reforecasts, and consolidationBalance Sheet budgets for consolidation and cash flow, 3-way forecastOverseeing the calculation of all client rates and contractsAnnual review of insurance requirementsRisk Review as the group growsAbout YouSuccessful candidates will have experience/skills in the following:Current Drivers LicenceBachelor of Business (Accounting) or similarCompetent with MYOB EXO, Word, and ExcelStrong statutory and management reporting skillsPrevious experience in a similar positionAbility to meet established deadlines while maintaining professionalismAbility to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentialityAbility to adapt positively to changing plans or ideasWhy Join Us?Not only will you receive a competitive salary, but we also have great employee benefits on offer, such as:Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Salary packaging – such as Novate leasingLength of Service Recognition awardsAbout UsFMS Group has been on a journey since establishing in 2005.
