About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital.
In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
The Role: Northern Health is seeking a dynamic Clinical Psychologist who will be responsible for the implementation of a clinical psychology program at our Broadmeadows Inpatient Unit at Broadmeadows Hospital in a part time ongoing position (48 hours per fortnight).
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a skilled and compassionate team, in providing specialised care for consumers experiencing acute mental health challenges.
Along with the Program Manager, the Clinical Nurse Leader and other allied health staff you will play a key role in this vital service.
As a pivotal part of the multidisciplinary team, you will drive clinical excellence, foster a positive and supportive environment, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of consumers in our care.
To be successful in this role you will have: A current registration with AHPRA, possess clinical endorsement as a psychologist, or be working towards clinical endorsement.High competence in at least one evidence-based psychological treatment.High competence in psychological assessment.Demonstrated skill and experience in working in a public mental health service.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with complex cases of mental illness.Next Steps: If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
