This position is responsible for completing basic day-to-day maintenance works for the Client, to the highest standard.
The Senior Maintenance officer is responsible for providing maintenance support to the Property Manager across a broad range of tasks, including but not limited to event set-ups, relocation of furniture and equipment, minor repairs and rubbish removal.
This position also acts as a 2IC to the Property Manager, providing day-to-day guidance to the team and managing the team during periods of leave and when the Property Manager is not on site.
The individual is responsible for general maintenance of school property and must be available to support other team members with their tasks, as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Provide support and assistance across a range of building and property maintenance activities, as directed by the Property Manager, including but not limited to:Completion of routine maintenance tasksProvide day-to-day operational guidance and direction to the Maintenance teamAssist with job planning, prioritization and schedulingBe a point of contact for internal enquiriesRepair and maintenance of equipment / goodsCollection, transportation and storage of furniture, equipment, building materials and archival recordsDistribution of deliveries in a timely mannerFunction set ups (e.g.
exams, open days and various functions)Sporting setups for sports or field daysCleaning duties, as requiredManual labourAssisting trades people as and when requiredAssisting with building and furniture construction, as requiredAssist with the management of external contractors, including on-site induction before work being undertakenAssist with the oversight of small construction, refurbishment and maintenance projectsUndertake maintenance duties as determined by the online reporting functionEnsure all occupational health and safety matters are promptly addressed and reported to ensure safety and welfare of all staff and studentsSafely use plant and personal protective equipment providedPractice safe manual handling practices, asking for assistance when necessaryEnsure Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Registers are adequately maintainedAssist in the development of Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) and Risk Assessments as requiredThe Successful Candidate: Must hold a valid Working with Children's Check or willing to apply for oneMust hold a valid National Police Check or willing to apply for oneMust have a valid Elevated Work Platform and High-Risk Work LicenceMust have a trade/maintenance backgroundMust have 5+ years of working experience within facilitiesPrevious experience in building/facilities maintenance is preferredExcellent professionalism to be displayed at all timesAn effective team player who values and builds strong relationshipsInclusive with a respect for diversityAble to diagnose and foresee potential problemsBe committed to providing a safe physical and emotional environment where students are respected and treated with dignity in an appropriate professional and caring mannerDIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: Prompcorp nurtures diversity through inclusive practices.
