Senior Manager, Middle Office Services - BNP ParibasWhat is this position about?Middle Office forms part of the Asset & Fund Services division of BNP Paribas Securities Services, supporting a variety of assets classes including Equities, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Cash, Listed Derivatives, OTC and Reconciliations. Additionally, the team provides support to our client's start of day positions, matching and monitoring of settlements, cashflows, and reporting.The roles within the Sydney Middle Office team are organised in alignment with the Global Middle Office processes of Asset Servicing, Transaction Management, OTC, Account Management, and Business Transformation.The Sydney Middle Office team's primary purpose is to ensure our clients receive high-quality Middle Office services. This includes the execution of daily production to meet SLAs and KPIs, management of queries, resolution of issues, delivery on client change, and continual development of our operating model.The Sydney Middle Office team is also responsible for oversight of outsourced functions, including their daily operations and overall performance.We value teamwork, maintaining good working relationships internally and with our clients, and ownership of our risk and control environment.Primary Role ResponsibilitiesClient Service DeliveryManage a team of approximately 4-6 people and coordinate resources effectively.Ensure the team manages client escalations and issues for Middle Office and appropriate escalation to the Head Of Middle Office.Lead Middle Office updates in Client Service reviews and Ops to Ops meetings. This includes maintaining client action logs, ensuring service review content is comprehensive, and providing key metrics, achievements, details of incidents, and issues as required.Ensure the team builds strong collaborative relationships with clients.Escalate client issues appropriately for resolution within the broader MO and identify impacts to other clients.Drive the team to deliver client incident reports by BD10.Client reporting (for example STP and KPI reporting) is analyzed and identifies opportunities for efficiencies and service enhancements.Support regulatory changes with key stakeholders and clients.Chair the Middle Office Client Forum.Oversight of Outsourced FunctionsDrive the team to be accountable for escalations on current issues.Drive preventative measures on operating incidents with account managers and offshore teams and track to closure.Drive the reconciliation framework to reduce breaks and increase transparency.Enhance the governance and oversight model and meetings, drive better KPIs analysis, issues logs, change pipeline, resourcing, attrition, and MIS.Conduct periodic reviews of SLAs, procedures, and BCP plans.Change and ExecutionSupport client change and new service initiatives as required.Generate ideas for process improvement to systems and processes.Risk ManagementEnsure that the team adheres to the risk and control framework, including the maintenance and update of internal procedures.BIRDIES are managed within required timeframes.Manage the incident process effectively and within reasonable timeframes.Maintain and understand back-up and contingency plans in the event of system outages.Other ContributionsWhat is required for you to succeed?Ensure the team works - Listen and respond constructively to other team members' ideas.
