Start date: 25 Nov (Flexible, can look to offer a slow intro ie 2-3 days a week this side of xmas and then full time from Jan)Contract length: 12 months /long term preferredPay: From $35 per hour depending on experienceA professional family at Bulimba, QLD are seeking an experienced and energetic nanny to assist in the care of their 2 children (3yr old girl and 8month old baby boy).Normal days: 5 days per weekDays & hours:Monday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pmTuesday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pmWednesday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pmThursday: 7:30 am – 5:30 pmFriday: 7:30 am – 4:00 pmAn ideal nanny would be bubbly, energetic and playful. A nanny that has a positive and can-do attitude and is interested to actively engage in indoor and outdoor activities with the children which will aid in their growth and development.The family is looking for someone who is organised, trustworthy, responsible and reliable and is able to care for the children throughout the day, follow routines and maintain boundaries in a firm but loving way.Mum is currently on maternity leave and will be returning to work in Feb. Days yet to be determined. The eldest child is attending kindy a few times per week.The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows:To care for the childrenFollow the children's routinePlay and engage in age-appropriate activities to assist in the children's developmentTake the children out to activities ie different parks, museums, activities (e.g. bounce, tiddlywinks, playgroups, spend time in nature etc)Light household duties ie put away toys, clean up after kids meals, assist with folding and putting away laundryPrep/Cook meals and snacks for the children and once family evening meal prep a few times a week if time permitsHomework assistance once eldest is at schoolGrocery shopping and running errands (occasionally)The family's expectations from their nanny are:3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child careChildcare qualifications preferred but not essentialHave a current first aid certificateHave a current Blue CardAble to swimDisplay strong communication skills and speak EnglishNon-smokingFull driver's license and clean driving record (to drive family vehicle)
