Geotechnical Operations Manager / Project Manager About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Operations Manager / Project Manager to join the team at Oz Stabilisation and Construction Services PTY LTD. Based in Tamborine, QLD, this is a contract role, with the potential for extension.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of geotechnical projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
What you'll be doing
Manage and coordinate geotechnical operations, including site investigations, testing, and reporting Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure effective communication and timely project delivery Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to meet project objectives Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols Manage and mentor a team of geotechnical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Provide technical expertise and guidance to the wider organization as required What we're looking for
Extensive experience (8+ years) in a geotechnical operations management or project management role, preferably within the construction industry Thorough understanding of geotechnical principles, methods, and industry best practices Proven ability to manage complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and cross-functional teams Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, geoscience, or a related field What we offer
