About the role The Children's Contact Service is a community-based service that provides supervised visits to assist separated parents to manage contact arrangements, especially where there are concerns about safety.
The service also provides a safe, reliable and neutral place to assist parents with the changeover of children.
The Case Worker CCS is responsible for developing case plans for clients and providing support to families through effective case management.
As part of this you will:
Conduct intake and assessment with applicants to the serviceCreate case plans with clientsSchedule client visits or changeoversSupport clients throughout their engagement with the CCS serviceConduct client case reviewsCreate and maintain high quality client recordsMake referrals as requiredAssist in the preparation of reportsFacilitate change overs and supervised visits when requiredAttend Family Court circuit if requiredOther duties as requiredSpecial Conditions Current SA driver's licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalentCurrent Satisfactory Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.Valid National Police CheckSafe Environment "Through their Eyes" training certificate or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.Qualifications, Experience and Attributes Tertiary or formal qualifications (Cert IV or above) and/or experience in Social Work, Social Science, Community Services or a related fieldHigh level of communication skills (listening, verbal and written) including the ability to establish rapport and maintain a positive relationship with clientsDemonstrated understanding of confidentiality and privacy, including the principles of sharing information about children and familiesDemonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with clients, e.g., conflict resolution, negotiating and advocacy skillsAbility to work with vulnerable families and be sensitive to the needs of others including children and young people, in a welcoming and non-judgemental environmentDemonstrated commitment, drive and initiative, with the ability to work independently within established routine and proceduresApplication Process Subject line: Your Name: [Case Worker CCS – MTG]A cover letter outlining your reasons for applying and addressing the essential qualifications and experience included in the position description.Include a current CV/Resume with contact details for two (2) referees, one (1) of whom is/was a direct line manager.ac.care is a dynamic organisation servicing the South Australian communities the Limestone Coast, Murraylands, Riverland, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula.
