The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Project Engineer to be part of our Engineering and Planning team in Perth, WA, on a two-year max-term basis, with options for either Part-Time or Full-Time employment.
Reporting to the Team Lead Project Delivery WA, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing technical tasks to support project goals across Stay in Business (SIB), Customer, and Third-Party projects and assisting Project Managers with technical project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport alignment with company project frameworks, engineering and quality standards, as well as customer and regulatory requirements.Deliver project tasks in line with plans and asset strategies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes are met.Coordinate and prepare technical submissions to fulfil regulatory requirements.Oversee construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities.Collaborate on strategies to deliver programs efficiently, cost-effectively, and on schedule.Your backgroundBachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.Experience in the oil and gas industry or similar sectors, including design, construction, operation, or maintenance of gas transmission assets.Demonstrated expertise in managing multidisciplinary projects spanning mechanical, pipeline, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, estimating, and cost control to meet customer expectations and project deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.Working at APAAt APA, we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
