Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Women's & Children's Salary $88,255.00 - $102,240.00 (Pro Rata) AHP2 | Part Time 26.25 hours p.w.
- Until June 2025 Join our Women's and Children's team as a Speech Pathologist (Paediatrics) and help support our commitment to quality patient care Women and Children at Flinders provide a comprehensive health care service for women, babies, children and adolescents.
About the role: Reporting to Senior Speech Pathologist (Paediatrics), in this role you will provide a range of speech pathology services to paediatric inpatients and outpatients of FMC, including consultancy, assessment and therapeutic intervention (utilising specialist skills in the management of complex problems), education, applied clinical research and staff and student supervision.
Duties for the role will include: Providing comprehensive and timely assessment, diagnosis and prognosis, treatment and counselling for disorders of communication and/or swallowing, Participating in ongoing professional development e.g., attending relevant conferences and workshops, reading professional journals and texts and attending grand rounds, Ensuring a customer-oriented approach to service delivery, Documenting as appropriate on the Speech Pathology/service or multidisciplinary Transfer Summary form, Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
About you: Appropriate degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia, High level of verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work under pressure, independently prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, Acute hospital experience.
