Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 yearsBase salary will be in the range $91,395.12 - $105,004.02 (Academic Level A) or $110,365.29 - $130,765.78 (Academic Level B) + 17% Superannuation (dependent on experience)This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Academic Level A) or Research Fellow (Academic Level B) with expertise in radiobiology and radiation induced biological responses to join the recently established ARC Research Hub for Advanced Manufacture of Targeted Radiopharmaceuticals (AMTAR) and contribute to innovations in biotechnology and pharmaceutical science.
You will work closely with our industry and academic partners to develop expertise and build a research profile in their discipline.AMTAR is funded through the Australian Research Council Industrial Transformation Research Hub scheme.
AMTAR aims to develop new technologies and establish a platform for smart-design, manufacture and quality assurance of targeted radiopharmaceuticals.
AMTAR is a large consortium led by The University of Queensland in collaboration with the University of Sydney and national and international partners.Key responsibilities will include:
Research: Independently plan and carry out innovative and reproducible research and collaborate on the proposed research project; Produce quality research outputs consistent with discipline norms by publishing in high quality outlets.
For Level B, undertake a lead role in some outputs; Work with colleagues in the development of joint research projects and applications for competitive research funding support.
For Level B, contribute as chief investigator role; Contribute to progressing towards transfer of knowledge, technology and practices to research end users through translation, including commercialisation of UQ intellectual property; Develop a coherent research program and an emerging research profile.
For Level B develop an independent and/or team research program to achieve national recognition and impact; Review and draw upon best practice research methodologies.Supervision and Researcher Development: Contribute to the effective supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students.
For Level B, demonstrate an effective track record of supervision of Higher Degree by Research students; Demonstrate personal effectiveness in supervision and the management of researcher development; Effectively lead and develop supervisee performance and conduct by providing feedback, coaching, and professional development; As appropriate, manage research support staff effectively throughout the employee lifecycle in accordance with University policy and procedures; Work to promptly resolve conflict and grievances when they arise in accordance with University policy and procedures.Citizenship and Service: Participate in AMTAR meetings and workshops and contribute to the broader Hub program (this includes outreach and translation activities, mentoring programs, supervision of students); Demonstrate citizenship behaviours that align to the UQ values; Show leadership of self through collaboration and active participation in priority activities for the unit; Provide support to other academic positions and unit operations as needed during other team members absences; Contribute to (Level A) or effectively and efficiently manage (Level B) internal service roles and administrative processes as required, including participation in decision-making and service on relevant committees; Collaborate in service activities external to the immediate organisation unit; Begin to develop (Level A) or actively pursue and develop (Level B) external links and partnerships by cultivating relationships with industry, government departments, professional bodies and the wider community.This is a research focused position, available at Academic Level A or B dependent on experience.

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 2 years, at Academic level A or B, depending on experience.The full-time equivalent base salary for Level A will be in the range $91,395.12 - $105,004.02 and at Level B will be in the range $110,365.29 - $130,765.78, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

About YouCompletion or near completion of a PhD in the discipline area(s): biology, biomedical engineering, biotechnology.An emerging (Level A) or growing (Level B) profile in research in the discipline area(s): radiobiology AND/OR molecular imaging (PET, SPECT).Evidence of research productivity including publications in reputed refereed journals, conference presentations and contribution to external grant applications.Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively collaborate to ensure research aims are met.Ability to work with industry partners to achieve applied outcomes and to work with others across the sector to achieve industry impact.For Academic Level B
Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.A growing record of supervision of Honours and HDR students to successful completion.The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, mandatory immunisations etc.Relocating from interstate or overseas?
