About the role
We are a growing boutique finance and accounting consulting firm and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sydney, NSW.
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial accounting, bookkeeping and reporting services to our diverse client base.
This is a part-time opportunity, offering flexibility and a great work-life balance.
This is a 0.6 FTE opportunity and we require the candidate to work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
We are in the process of moving to our new office in Barangaroo.
What you'll be doing (list is not exhaustive)
Preparing and reviewing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Performing detailed financial analysis and providing insightful recommendations to clients Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies Assisting in the implementation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency Maintaining meticulous records and documentation to support financial reporting Contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting practices and procedures End to end AP processes End to end AR processes Daily bank and credit card reconciliations End to end payroll processes Reconciliations Super and BAS reconciliation and processing What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field Full or associate member of CPA Australia or equivalent 5+ years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping and accounting role Proficiency in the use of XERO, Excel and data analysis tools Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulations What we offer
