THE ROLE: Growthbuilt has experienced milestone growth over the last year, growing to 170+ employees with forecasted revenue of up to $378 million.
Our Estimating team needs support by adding an additional member to a well-established high-performing team.

The team is currently led by our Preconstruction Manager, a veteran Senior Estimator with 13 years tenure at Growthbuilt, and a fast-paced high-performing Estimator who is a step away from being a Senior Estimator.
The team is working on various tenders across multiple sectors as Growthbuilt tries to diversify their construction portfolio.
Project values range from $20-$150 million.

This role will report to the Preconstruction Manager who will support your transition into your new role.
Your first month will involve working on 1-2 tenders across the residential, retail, aged care, education, and health care sectors.

Once comfortable, this role offers a hybrid option of working from home 1 day a week.

What your day-to-day might look like: Budget Estimates - using relevant market rates from recent projects and obtaining subcontract input as required.
Lump Sum Tenders – pricing trades adjusted against subcontract trade coverage where possible.
Lead priority bids and coordinate bid teams.
Review and analyze subcontractor quotes.
Review and price preliminaries and supervision & labor.
Provide mentoring and support to junior staff.
Prepare benchmarking reports for management and inform business strategy.
Undertake site visits with subcontractors and assess access, buildability, and temporary services locations.
Review risks and opportunities and seek subcontract market cover as appropriate.
Present and interview with clients, driving closure of bids.
Evaluate value engineering opportunities during estimate and/or post-estimate.
Prepare elemental analysis against similar projects, where required.
Reconcile and analyze actual budgets against original budgets, where required.
Complete estimate review documentation and prepare information for management presentation and review.
ABOUT YOU Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management.
Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in an estimating role within a tier 1-2 working across the new build environment.
Successful record in winning tenders for projects valued at $20-$150 million.
Energetic, resilient, and able to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
Previous experience conducting site inspections.
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
A deep understanding of construction processes and pricing trends.
Experience working with junior staff and building teams.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present bids to prospective clients.
