A career with CSL is both stimulating and challenging, and we are continually seeking skilled and passionate individuals to occupy key roles throughout our company.About the PositionOur Technical Operations team is looking for a permanent full-time Senior Vessel Manager to join our vessel management team. The Senior Vessel Manager will oversee our vessel operations, which includes specialised self-unloading vessels, off-shore transhippers, and Handysize bulk carriers. The Senior Vessel Manager will be in charge of the day-to-day operations and efficient management of vessels under their supervision. The successful candidate will be required to travel both domestically and internationally.Key ResponsibilitiesShip-Management for allocated vessels and periodical coverage for colleagues during holiday periods.Conduct ship visits for technical support and condition inspections, including compiling associated reports.Plan, control, and execute dry-docks and all activities connected with ship maintenance and repairs.Involvement with crew management both onboard and ashore.Partner with our HSEQ department on safety management, ISM compliance, investigations, recommendations, and emergency response.Monitor voyage and operational performance of assigned vessels and provide appropriate assistance to senior onboard management.In conjunction with onboard senior vessel management and the purchasing department, procure spares, stores, and arrange services for vessel operations.Financial management, including budget preparation, Operating Expense controls, and variance reporting.About YouIdeally 2-3 years of experience within a Vessel Manager/Superintendent position or similar maritime role.Onboard ship experience in a senior rank, preferably as Chief Engineer.A sound understanding of ISM, MARPOL, MLC, and ISPS.Safety leadership.Team player.Knowledge of MS Office suite including Excel.Ability to deliver practical solutions to complex problems.Ability to partner and build strong relationships with CSL customers.Driver's license.Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).Possess a continuous improvement mindset.CSL Offers You:Competitive Salary & Employee Bonus PackageCareer development and progression opportunitiesYearly fitness reimbursement programLife InsuranceYearly health reimbursement programIf this sounds like the role for you, we would love to hear from you CSL Australia is an equal opportunity employer and we strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds.
