As a Marine Fleet Manager in the Defence Marine Support Services (DMSS) team, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the safety and compliance of vessels, driving performance improvements, and supporting the training and development of our frontline staff.
As a Marine Fleet Manager in the DMSS team, you'll make a positive impact by:
Ensuring all vessels adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements Overseeing marine incident investigations and providing subject matter expertise Managing and supporting the training and qualification tracking for marine staff Analysing fleet performance metrics to enhance efficiency and productivity Supporting fleet budget management and regulatory compliance Participating in broader marine business unit compliance and strategic initiatives Serco is a place for you To be successful in this role you'll have:
Comprehensive knowledge of Australian and International Marine legislation and standards WHS incident investigation and audit skills Experience in a maritime operational / at-sea environment favourable Effective written and verbal communication skills Maritime qualifications or significant experience in marine operations or marine fleet (vessel) management Completion of Safety or Investigation Studies at Cert IV or Associate Diploma Level (Marine exposure, Fleet management, Transport safety investigation) NSCV (AMSA National Law) experience including vessel Safety Management System, SMS application and regulatory exposure Offshore experience favourable Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of Defence Security Clearance – Baseline (candidates must be Australian Citizens) As a fast-growing and successful global company, Serco's services span across the areas of justice, migration, defence, space, customer services, health, and urban mobility.
