About this role This position assists the Area Manager Clinical Coding in ensuring the clinical coding services for the North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) are undertaken in an effective, efficient and timely manner that meet quality standards and reporting obligations for clinical coding in an Activity Based Funding environment, ensuring the team undertake the accurate and timely collection of clinical data in accordance with Hospital, State, and National requirements.
The position also supports the provision of education, clinical engagement, and internal audit programs, and undertakes the coding of more complex cases.
NMHS Clinical Coding is a centralised unit servicing the Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG), Women's and Newborn Health Services (WNHS), and the NMHS and Statewide Mental Health services.
This position reports to the Area Manager Clinical Coding, Business Information and Performance, NMHS.
