Offer Description Contribute to the training of highly sought-after graduates for work in our urban, regional and rural communities. The role: Continuing, Full time (part time fraction may be considered). Level D - AUD162,474 to AUD178,876 pa (plus 17% superannuation). Orange. An exciting opportunity exists to join our highly regarded Dentistry discipline responsible for producing work-ready graduates and preparing professionals to practice in urban, rural and regional community settings.
Support students' development of pre-clinical and clinical skills in the University's state-of-the-art teaching facilities, including the Simulation clinic, Dental Technology and Anatomy laboratories, and the Charles Sturt Dental and Oral Health clinics.
Actively contribute to teaching, research and curriculum development, teaching a range of relevant subjects.
The successful candidate will also have an opportunity to develop and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the School.
The opportunity to provide clinical services in the Charles Sturt Oral Health and Dental Clinics upon negotiation with the Dean of Dentistry and Oral Health and the Clinical Director may be considered.
About you: Demonstrated evidence of full registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) or eligibility to be registered as a Dentist with Ahpra. A doctoral qualification relevant to clinical dentistry and a record of research achievement of international standing, through outstanding research contributions in cariology, preventive dentistry (including biofilm control) and/or clinically relevant dental biomaterial science. A record of significant achievement relevant to clinical dentistry at a national level, in the scholarship of academic leadership, teaching and learning, research and/or professional activity. Significant experience and knowledge in clinical supervision and success in delivering high-quality student-centred teaching. Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong professional relationships and networks to achieve objectives. Work-life balance (including a hybrid work model).
