What role will you play As the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for the delivery of facilities and building maintenance services for The University of Sydney, that comply with all codes and regulations, meet service requirements, and ensure a safe and secure work environment for all building occupants and visitors.
More specifically, you will:
Maintain terraces and gardens to always present a clean and attractive appearance Be responsible for the general maintenance and minor repairs for the kitchens used in the common areas and for the BBQ, the iron facilities, and lights throughout the building Perform general maintenance repairs and cleaning services Establish systems and procedures to facilitate preventative maintenance programs including selection of suppliers and support system, meeting budget and standard requirements as set by management Complete a daily check of plant equipment, common facilities and property specific requirements Work within and maintain procedures and standards for all operational areas to maximise efficiency of resources Operate within agreed company health and safety procedures, always following industry and statutory regulations Respond on the 2-way radios for any urgent repairs or issues required by the Customer Service Desk or the Management office What we're looking for Similar experience within student accommodation or hospitality industry Trade qualification will be highly regarded Confident computer skills including ability to use various systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) You will have a 'safety first' mindset, and an understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling Flexible working style, and happy to work both independently as well as part of a team Ability to establish good working relations with staff, residents, contractors, etc.
