Opportunity to provide a broad range of education administrative and operational support to academic and teaching staff on-site across all university campusesUtilise your exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to liaise with and establish effective working relationships with key staff to ensure that the work area's education support, learning, and teaching priorities and needs are effectively metFull time continuing position Base Salary $99,455 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Education Support Officer oversees a wide array of administrative and operational support tasks to fulfill the requirements of the work area. This role includes managing the assembly and renewal of resources and materials, as well as ensuring that reporting and compliance obligations are satisfied.
Operating under general supervision, the Education Support Officer executes tasks as instructed, consistent with established duties. They select suitable work methods, organise, and prioritize tasks, address routine issues concerning their responsibilities, and work collaboratively to tackle more complex issues.
There is a requirement for this position to be on site. Limited hybrid working arrangements can be discussed with your manager if you are successful in this position. Please note that these roles are not open to current University of Sydney students.
Your key responsibilities will be to: manage program evaluation processes and facilitate improvements for coursework programs, implementing changes recommended by academic staffprovide comprehensive administrative support to academic and teaching staff, including policy interpretation and assistance with procedural mattersdevelop and maintain databases and contact lists to enhance learning and teaching activities, and train new staff on systems and policiesmanage the compilation and publication of academic content for both print and online platformssupport the coordination of teaching processes, including assessments, examinations, scholarships, results processing, and evaluationmanage educational reporting, compliance, and publication production, ensuring accurate information on university systems and adherence to work area requirements. demonstrated client focus with strong stakeholder engagement capability to enable the delivery of successful outcomeseffective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, along with the ability to prioritise workload during busy periodssound computer skills, including database maintenance, experience with Microsoft Officeexperience delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environmenthighly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including internal and external customers and suppliers, and University students.two to four years education administrative experience.Sponsorship / work rights for Australia Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.
