Organisation: Department of Transport and PlanningReference: 5026About the RoleThis is a Fixed Term Position for 12 monthsThis outstanding opportunity will provide high quality specialised legal services to Land Use Victoria's divisions of Land Registry Services and Strategic Land Assessment & Information, the Registrar of Titles, the Surveyor-General Victoria and the Valuer-General Victoria.Working under limited direction, review and provide advice on the terms of, draft and negotiate a range of contracts for Land Use Victoria (DTP).Manage or be involved in tender processes in accordance with the requirements of the Victorian Government Purchasing Board.Provide strategic and authoritative legal advice to Land Use Victoria on complex and/or sensitive public law and commercial law issues.Negotiate and liaise with a wide range of internal and external service providers, customer groups and other stakeholders.Assist as required in the delivery of other legal advice, and perform other duties and tasks as directed.Key Selection CriteriaTo be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will be an individual who can keep themselves and others calm under pressure, make decisive decisions, and chart effective courses of action to resolve challenging situations.
