We have multiple permanent opportunities for either Live Line Linesperson, Linesperson or Electrical Fitter Mechanic with distribution network experience located at Mackay.

About your role:
You'll be assisting with the construction, maintenance and repair of our LV and HV overhead powerline infrastructure including transformers and network switches.
As a Linesperson and/or Live Line Linesperson, you will:
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson, or Be trade qualified with a Queensland Live Line authorisation.
(Remove if Linesperson only) Construct, maintain and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.
Perform live line methodology on Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy and Energex) networks.
As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will:
Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence.
Install, repair, commission and maintain various items of electrical equipment and plant.
Experience in line work and/or HV cable jointing preferred.
The remuneration for your new role is from $108,859 per annum + 14.75% superannuation.
About you:
Critical to your success in the role, is your:
Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
Availability for call out and emergency work.
Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
Current 'C' class open Drivers Licence.
