Our client is seeking a business-focused SAP Application Support Specialist to join their team in Melbourne Docklands.

Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 from home

About the Role:
Our client is seeking a business-focused SAP Application Support Specialist to join their team in Melbourne.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAP application support and a solid understanding of core ERP modules and S/4HANA.
The client is open to candidates who have previously been SAP Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or SAP End Users with relevant support experience.
This role is designed for someone who can effectively communicate with business users, troubleshoot issues, and manage escalations without being involved in system configuration or development.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for SAP-related support issues and escalations, acting as the go-to expert for problem-solving and application support.
You will collaborate with an offshore support team based in India that handles the first line of support and ticket management.
Your focus will be on escalating unresolved issues, tracking ticket progress, and ensuring timely resolutions for internal business users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that business-facing SAP issues are resolved efficiently and effectively, leveraging their SAP knowledge in a support capacity rather than a technical or functional capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact for all SAP-related support queries and issues from business users.
Provide second-level support, ensuring issues are escalated, resolved, and documented effectively.
Liaise with business units to understand their needs, troubleshoot SAP application issues, and provide effective solutions.
Work closely with the offshore support team to monitor ticket progress, troubleshoot problems, and provide updates to stakeholders.
Generate and analyse reports on ticket volumes, response times, and resolution rates to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Ensure that all escalated issues are resolved promptly and that root causes are identified and communicated to prevent future occurrences.
About You:
Experience: Previous experience in SAP application support with a strong understanding of core ERP modules and S/4HANA.
Candidates with a background as SAP SMEs or SAP End Users will also be considered if they have the right support skill set.
Skill Set: Demonstrated experience working with SAP applications, providing support to business users, and resolving application-related issues.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with business users and offshore support teams.
Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a supportive environment.
Reporting: Experience generating and analysing support ticket reports and tracking issue resolution.
Please Note: The client is not seeking hands-on technical candidates, technical consultants, business analysts, or those focusing on infrastructure support.
Applicants should have a solid understanding of SAP applications for support purposes but not want to be hands-on in system configuration or development.
