HYG is a premium development firm with high-end residential and commercial projects stretching across the NSW region.
With a strong pipeline of landmark projects within Sydney metropolitan areas, the organisation has seen thriving growth since its inception.
Situated in the heart of Chatswood CBD, the organisation has recently seen a rapid expansion of its construction team due to its strong pipeline of active projects.
The team is looking to increase their headcount and is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the team for low-rise residential development in Beecroft.
Duties and Responsibilities Conducting Site Inductions and Toolbox talks.Coordinating labour activity on site, including all subcontractors' activities.Conducting weekly site meetings with subcontractors' supervisors.Preparing and monitoring fortnightly construction programmes.Placing all material orders.Preparing the setup of all site requirements - crane, sheds, toilet, scaffolding, etc.Reviewing building practices to ensure the most efficient methodology is used.Maintaining quality control procedures.Ensuring compliance with Building Commissioner requirements.Ensuring Australian Building Standards are met throughout the building process.Ensuring all subcontractors produce and submit ITPs.Preparing reports as required by the PM and Directors.Having a full understanding of construction procedures.Conducting daily safety walks.Ability to lead, drive, and mediate between stakeholders and site personnel.Maintaining site diaries and documenting progress with photos.Liaising with consultants, Council, and neighbours.Assessing and minimising risk.Assisting in preparing scope of works for various trades.Ideal Applicants will have: 8+ years' experience in residential construction, especially in Class 2 buildings.Experience with projects valued at over $50 million in similar developer-builder environments is highly preferred.Comprehensive knowledge of construction procedures and site management.Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Team player with a can-do attitude and strong attention to detail.Strong communication skills and ability to understand individual circumstances.Computer literacy is a plus.An understanding that work hours will vary (includes Saturdays).If you are interested in this opportunity or want to know more about the role, click 'Apply Now'.
