Senior Data Engineer

As part of this evolution, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic Digital and Transformation team in North Sydney for a permanent role. We value flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement, so if you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about data, this role is for youAbout the roleIn this role, you will design, build and deploy data architectures and pipelines, delivering robust, reliable, and near real-time data to business stakeholders to enable insights and Business Intelligence services. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure reporting solutions meet the growing needs of our business. You'll be part of a geographically diverse team, contributing to key initiatives like Profitable Volume Growth and Customer First Workstreams. Some of the key areas you will be responsible for include:OperationalDesigning and implementing ETL processesManaging data warehousing solutionsExposing and deploying machine learning models to productionEnsuring data quality and consistency across various sourcesEnsuring reliability and uptime of systemsReporting SolutionsManage and achieve reporting solution outcomes through:Close alignment to business stakeholdersIdentifying gaps in the current EDW and Data Models and driving better data quality and collectionDevelopment, delivery, and support of Power BI Reports, ad-hoc Data Extracts, Data Models, and Data Warehouse enhancementsProviding estimates and Agile Sizing for Report and Data developmentTest plan preparation and ensuring testing is successfully executedProviding end-user support, assistance, and training regarding Power BI Report developmentBusiness Support:Investigating and resolving Data, Reporting, and Back-end ETL related issues. Responding to incidents in line with SLAs and ITIL processesTroubleshooting issues and identifying modifications needed in existing Reporting to meet changing user requirementsEnsuring solutions are comprehensively documented, process deliverables are approved by appropriate business and IT stakeholders, and appropriate documentation is readily availablePracticing Lean-Agile values and ways of working, participating and contributing in Agile events and ritualsKeeping the business community appropriately informed and collaborating with stakeholders and team members to meet strict delivery deadlinesEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal customers, peer groups, and key internal stakeholdersAbout youOur ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline, and relevant Microsoft certifications.The role requires the following skills:Azure Data LakeSQL ServerAzure SynapsePower BI data setsSSIS reporting or Data FactoryData pipelines and streamingPerforming Operational Reporting and Commercial Documents - development, testing, and releaseExperience working with D365 ERP CRM reportingDebugging and troubleshooting issues related to Data Lake, Azure SynapseExperience in Data warehouse management and ETL operationMicrosoft FabricAzure DevOps - management, pipeline, and release management knowledgeExperience with BI analytical toolsetsExperience with ERP / CRM especially Dynamics 365SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures etc.Azure SQL DatabaseAzure table storageDatabase administration knowledge on Azure Synapse, Data Lake, ADFBonus SkillsSAFe Agile and ScrumExperience in report layout developmentsPrevious experience working with geographically diverse teamsReady to apply?Great Just click the apply button to build your career with usPlease note: You must be a citizen, permanent resident, or hold all the relevant employment visas and other approvals for the location and duration of this position to apply for this role.
