They analyze and forecast financial and product trends, review the performance of our products, and ensure that sufficient stock is available. They also work with brands and suppliers to negotiate price structures, delivery dates, specific merchandise requirements, and contracts. They are key in rolling out company-wide projects and have a keen eye for process improvement and streamlining – they are dedicated to efficiency and love the numbers.We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our Womenswear team on a 6-month Max Term Contract - to help us evolve the landscape of Australian e-commerce and fashion. If you are a highly skilled planner and love all things fashion, then please read onAbout the RoleDrive the segment strategy and contribute to the wider business strategy.Develop a mid to long-term strategic view to drive growth and profit for the segment that complements the company mid to long-term targets.Present the overall segment strategy, ensuring a comprehensive strategy pack backed by a solid financial plan is delivered and implemented.Lead company-wide projects from a Category Management view, providing support and ensuring completion.Suggest actions based on potential future concerns, either based on economic or social trends.Anticipate the Manager's needs and prepare documentation, analysis, or responses ahead of time.Work closely with the Manager to maximize profit for the season.Monitor all facets of the segment, implement plans for any underperforming departments, and identify ways to capitalize on opportunities to deliver segment KPIs.Drive the focus for marketing campaigns and support. Ensure promotional activity delivers the best possible outcome, retaining margin.Support Company Planning with management of reporting Company-wide and GFG.Collaborate with other Planning Managers to have a united Category Management approach.Establish strong relationships with key departments to strengthen Category Management and the segment's position.Drive projects and improvements that require support and input from key stakeholders across the business.Challenge, develop, and inspire the team. Keep calm in the face of challenges and retain a positive demeanor.Demonstrate strong communication and management skills, ensure deadlines are met, and the team has a clear understanding of what is required at all times.Key SkillsPrevious experience working for an eCommerce Fashion retailer is desirable.5+ years in Merchandise Planning Management is desirable.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Expert knowledge of Excel.Ability to communicate at all levels with an open and honest approach.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines & work under pressure.Proactive mindset with the ambition to drive improvements.Thinking ahead mentality to continuously challenge the status quo.Love for all things Fashion.Embrace and drive positive change across the department.Embodies THE ICONIC values and refers to the values when setting goals and KPIs.Life at THE ICONICAt THE ICONIC, we believe in doing things a little differently.
