We're open to a hybrid working style; spend time in the office and at home.Reporting to:Asset Performance Manager.The role:This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved from the start, laying the foundations for Akaysha's Univers Bazefield Asset Performance Management (APM) platform. As we onboard our first asset, the Waratah Super Battery, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of the APM platform with emphasis on creating KPIs, dashboards and reports, along with development of conditional monitoring and alert management and analysis functions.Once in operation, this position will be responsible for a range of monitoring, reporting and analysis activities, along with contributing to the on-going development and enhancement of the APM platform. You will be working closely with the wider Operations team, including asset management and market operations, along with a variety of internal stakeholders across the business, to understand and support their needs. In addition, you will engage with external partners to facilitate the supply of various services required to support Akaysha's operations.Key responsibilities will include:Developing, validating, implementing KPIs in consultation with stakeholders.Developing, validating, implementing and maintaining dashboards to suit a wide range of stakeholders.Developing, validating, implementing and maintaining automated APM related reporting.On-going monitoring and reporting on compliance with contractual obligations (Supplier to Akaysha and Akaysha to Off-takers).Conducting, developing, documenting and maintaining performance monitoring processes.Conducting, developing, documenting and maintaining predictive maintenance processes.Producing and distributing periodic performance reports enhanced with analysis driven insights.Supporting stakeholders across Akaysha with ad-hoc data/analysis requests.Managing on-boarding of new battery projects into the APM platform.Identifying and working with Univers (the APM platform vendor) to resolve issues as they arise (and suggest new feature ideas).Contributing to the review of APM related, technical aspects of potential new battery project contracts, e.g. Energy Supply Agreements, Long Term Service Agreements.Contributing to evaluation and integration activities with potential new battery system suppliers.What you'll bring:Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, mathematics, computer science or a related discipline.Hands-on industry experience working in chosen discipline.Experience with complex data analysis tasks, preferably related to physical systems and time series data.Experience with data processing/analysis/visualisation tools, e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Matlab/Simulink, Excel, Python, R, SQL or similar.Strong verbal communication, report writing, and creative presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an ability to draw out conclusions from large quantities of data across multiple sources, using graphs, tables, and interactive dashboards.Creative and innovative mindset.Ability to work across several projects simultaneously and collaborate with different teams efficiently.Comfortable working in the office or remotely (assume at least 3 days per week in a dynamic office environment).A deep desire to actively contribute to the energy transition for a more sustainable future.Knowledge of electrical power systems, renewable energy, battery storage systems, asset management or the NEM would be a bonusPlease be aware you must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status or have existing AU working rights to apply for this role.
