The Hatchery is a hybrid conference and events company with the purpose to connect people with knowledge to inspire change.
We curate, produce and run timely, well-researched conferences across a range of industry verticals, mainly within publicly funded organisations.
We work at a fast pace and collaborate to deliver high-quality events that make a positive change in the community.
The Role
We are seeking a Client Sales Executive who has relevant technical outbound and inbound sales experience working and confidently communicating with C-Level Executives, Learning & Development, and aspiring senior leaders from all levels of Government and Executive Leadership Teams, in multiple sectors.
Client Sales Executives are responsible for:

Identifying and securing delegate sales opportunities
Creating value propositions in line with the campaign briefing for each event by acquiring and updating knowledge of the industry and market conditions
Demonstrated technical sales experience in identifying, researching and generating leads for campaign sales, creating lists of prospective delegate businesses using directories and industry specific sources
Liaising with prospective and regular delegates to determine and assess needs, qualify delegate leads to secure revenue for conferences and events within a particular sector
Selling the campaigns and attendance opportunities for events to achieve KPIs and targets set and agreed
Producing and distributing quotations /proposals to qualified prospects to secure sales
Negotiating and determining terms, following up for payments of confirmed deals, and completing and recording sales contracts.
Following up with delegates to ensure satisfaction.
Maintaining accurate records of sales figures and paid accounts
Monitoring changing delegate and industry specific needs to provide market, event and prospects, and reporting to Sales Managers.
Working independently and autonomously within a team envirnoment.
Taking responsibility for the continuous development of technical sales campaigns, liaising with Production to ensure we are reaching the correct target audience and also securing the attendance of those relevant to our events

With a focus on government, health, education, financial services and banking, aged care and not-for-profit sectors.
Sales Executives build and maintain relationships with c-level executives, high-level decision-makers and those with relevant responsibilities to the sectors listed above.
These relationships are fostered through conducting a needs analysis and also working collaboratively with other departments (conference producers, marketing, operations) to produce great results.

Essential
At least two years of strong and relevant experience in technical sales with proven ability to be customer-focused and have the ability to communicate value propositions and focus on new business development.
Preferred
Highly relevant Bachelor's Degree or at least five years relevant experience in a technical sales role.
To be successful you'll have:

Strong commercial sales experience, with a heavy focus on new business development within a short sales cycle
The ability to research and generate new prospects and leads
Be customer focused and have the ability to clearly communicate value propositions
Be a team player, uphold our company values and be motivated by goals and targets
A background in Technical Sales particularly outbound sales
Results and process orientated experience with a high level of time management to ensure follow ups are done in an efficient and effective manner and any issues are resolved quickly
The ability to monitor delegates changing needs and reporting these developments to Production, Data, Marketing and Sales
Experience in negotiating, influencing and persuading whilst quoting prices and credit terms and completing sales orders
The capability to report on trends and identify and action tasks autonomously
