5-year Program - Design, Construction, MaintenanceMajor water infrastructure projects in the western suburbsSite based role within the Western Region of SydneyThe Opportunity Due to increased Project work in our Maintenance team, we are seeking additional Safety Coordinators to be part of the West Region Delivery Team.
Working on critical infrastructure to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facility management services over the next 5 years, across wastewater and recycled water systems in Sydney's Western Region from Windsor to Bargo and out to the Blue Mountains, this includes the Western Sydney Aerotropolis Growth Area.
Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to commence on this long term works program in western Sydney.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for providing operational safety leadership and safety advice, as well as driving compliance with HSE legislation and contractual obligations for projects.
You will be interacting with both self-perform teams and subcontractors.
We're looking for someone who works collaboratively with field staff (and clients) and supports them to get the job done as safely as possible, whilst also ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements and internal documentation are completed.
This will suit someone who has a genuine passion for safety, an eye for detail, and wants to advance their career with a tier 1 utilities contractor.
The West Region Delivery Team home base will be located in western Sydney.
What we need from you Ideally you will have experience in the Water utilities sector with field exposure to treatment facilities, networks infrastructure and associated Mechanical, Electrical, and civil infrastructure.
You will have:
Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health and SafetyRelevant experience in the construction/utilities industryICAM Lead InvestigatorCurrent First Aid certificateAbility to function unsupervised, working to tight deadlinesProficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word and ExcelProven ability to engage, coach, and foster relationships at all levels of an organisationAffinity for continuous improvement and innovation, applying learnings to 'real world' project delivery environmentsAlignment with our valuesIf you have experience in this area and are willing to contribute as part of a high performing and collaborative team with a positive attitude, this is a perfect role for you.
