Job Description Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park are seeking a passionate, adaptable and organised Full-Time Group Reservations Agent
About the Role Joining the commercial heart of our hotel team and reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be part of a team responsible for the planning of group reservation bookings including conference & events, sporting, corporate, special event, inbound and ad-hoc groups.
You will work with our Sales and Planning teams and clients to ensure our group reservations are planned effectively and efficiently.
As a Group Reservations Agent, your key responsibilities will include:
Management of group room blocks and rooming lists. Foster and manage strong relationships with Tour Operators to ensure seamless group booking experiences and maintain mutual success. Handle group accommodation queries and special requests. Manage Hotel inventory with relation to Group Reservations. Prepare group information and briefing for relevant Hotel departments. Proactively seek and address feedback from clients and develop ongoing client relationships. Quoting and securing group accommodation from non-catered groups and managing contracting, billing and handover for these groups. Working with a dedicated team, you will utilise your strong relationship and administrative skills; collaborating with other departments to build and maintain partnerships with our existing/potential guests and clients to drive results.
Qualifications About you A desire and commitment to building strong client relationships. Excellent communication skills, using various channels to stay connected with internal and external teams. An eye for detail and efficient time management skills. Knowledge of inbound FIT and groups. A desire for continued growth. Experience in a hotel environment, and with hotel property management systems (Opera, Delphi) an advantage but not essential.
