We're currently seeking a Sous Chef to join our team at the Crowne Plaza Canberra Hotel.
Our team look after Redsalt Restaurant, Lume Bar, Room Service, and Conferencing catering for functions up to 150 people.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, our Sous Chef manages the day to day running of the kitchen.
This is a hands-on role, leading by example while supporting and mentoring the team.
The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef on:
Understanding of budgets, labour, and food costs Ensuring ordering is completed Planning menus and ensuring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Hands-on approach in the kitchen, coaching and training the team on cooking techniques and procedures Attending meetings as required with other managers in the business Participating in WHS meetings and working within hygiene regulations We're looking for someone with well-rounded experience in creating food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, room service, and functions.
The successful candidate will be a great leader with a high level of verbal communication, strong time management skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
You should have a genuine passion for the food industry, ensuring quality, maintaining high standards, and keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
An understanding of HACCP and Work, Health and Safety legislation is essential.
