The successful applicants will use business, finance and commercial skills to evaluate our client's data.We are open to candidates in any of our major cities.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with providing indirect tax and national state taxes advice, compliance and consultancy services across a range of indirect tax matters, including GST, stamp duty/duties, land tax, fuel tax credits, customs and state taxesAssist with ATO assurance reviews and auditsAssist in delivering a range of tax governance, data analytics and tax technology servicesResearch of relevant case law, legislation and revenue authority guidanceBeing an alternative contact for a number of clientsAssist with managing billing and control of Work In Progress, adhering to budget and time constraintsAssist with assessing engagement risk and apply commercial astute decisions, including the maintenance of quality control on assignments and projectsAssist with analysing clients' needs and professional service requirements and determine appropriate actionManage relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities with current clientsAssist with delivering in-house tax technical training on indirect tax / state taxes issuesManagement of junior team members, offering guidance and direction on delegated engagementsTo Be Successful You Will NeedBusiness / Commerce degree with Accounting Major or Law degreeTax experience in a similar roleStrong communication and written skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamTransferrable indirect tax / state tax experienceStrong work ethicDesirableCommencement or near completion of CA or equivalentCommencement or near completion of Master of Taxation or Master of Laws (in Taxation) or Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) (The Tax Institute)Commencement or near completion of Practical Legal Training (PLT) course.Admitted as a Solicitor or working towards admission.
