Job Description The Project ACCIONA has been selected to deliver Western Harbour Tunnel Stage 2, Sydney's third harbour crossing.
The new Western Harbour Tunnel (WHT) will connect to WestConnex at the Rozelle Interchange, cross underneath Sydney Harbour between Birchgrove and Waverton, and connect with the Warringah Freeway near North Sydney.
Project scope includes: Construction of approximately 4.8 kilometres of mainline tunnels with three lanes in each directionCivil, Mechanical and Electrical fitout of Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunnelsSurface level work, including on and off ramps and tie-in work to the Warringah FreewayIn line with the above, ACCIONA is now looking for an Electrical Project Engineer Fibre and ITS to join the Western Harbour Tunnel Project.
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering the entire fibre network & the surface area ITS scope (for the project).
Specific Tasks Include: Day-to-day management of project construction activitiesDevelopment, monitoring, and control of project installation schedule for Fibre and ITS scopePlan, manage and implement the site installation activities necessary to ensure all site-specific and contract requirements are met.Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.Attend design reviews and provide advice relating to constructability, safety, site access and associated issues.Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.Required Skills and Competencies: Demonstrated Practical experience with Fibre, communications & ITS equipment.Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering (or similar)Excellent knowledge of fibre, communications networks & or ITS equipmentSubcontractor management would be beneficialWell-developed leadership and management skillsProblem-solving and analytical skillsClear written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detailACCIONA has been awarded Top Employer 2023 Certification in Australia from the Top Employers Institute.
