Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.
The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
The Senior Physiotherapist will ensure the provision of the highest quality Stroke and Neurology Physiotherapy services to patients of Nepean Hospital.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation & reporting of this service.
Additionally, you will be responsible for providing high quality Physiotherapy skills to manage stroke and neurological patients which include patients with acute and complex conditions requiring substantial professional initiative and judgment.
The incumbent will ensure maintenance of standards of clinical care in the face of an increasingly ageing population, increasing co-morbidities and dependencies, and growth of other services without concomitant enhancement in Physiotherapy services.
This Level 3 Stroke/Neuro Physiotherapist role is rostered equally over 5 weekdays.

What you will bring to the role:
Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
Substantial postgraduate clinical experience and demonstrated high level of knowledge and skills in physiotherapy interventions in the neurological and stroke cohorts, in addition to a broad range of clinical areas.
Demonstrated high level verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated ability to provide advice to service managers on clinical service development, practice and design in response to demands and client stakeholder needs in relation to a physiotherapy service.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge of and experience with Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice.
Demonstrated teaching skills and significant supervision experience with staff and students.
Demonstrated experience in developing and reviewing relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures from internal and external stakeholders.
