As the Cardiothoracic Scrub Coordinator, you will work with and support the cardiothoracic team to achieve excellence in clinical care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements. You will provide clinical direction and supervise nursing practice within the cardiothoracic team, serving as a clinical and professional resource person demonstrating broad knowledge and expertise within the cardiothoracic surgical specialty. You will oversee the specialty, working closely with the Perioperative Management team, Nursing Staff, Surgeons, and other clinical personnel involved in cardiothoracic surgery.The role will see you coordinate the cardiothoracic specialty encompassing both clinical and quality components. To be successful, you must have extensive Scrub/Scout experience in cardiothoracic surgery and possess a positive attitude, with the ability to work both within a team and independently.About YouTo succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the following:Current registration with AHPRAMinimum 5 years post-graduate experience in cardiothoracic surgeryPost-graduate qualification in a relevant specialty is highly regardedEffective communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as requiredDemonstrated problem-solving skills, strong planning and organisational skillsSound written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy in Microsoft Office programsCommitment to excellence in nursing and continuous quality improvement, contributing to improving standards of care and delivery of services in line with the needs of the HospitalTraining, coaching, and mentorship skillsRemunerationOn offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $53.56 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.About UsLocated just 80km south of Sydney, Wollongong is a major metropolitan hub on the coast of NSW.
