Senior Health & Safety Manager – Salary circa £70,000

The successful individual would be responsible for leading and managing the health and safety function across the organisation, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and fostering a culture of safety.
This role requires strong communication skills to engage with executive leadership and influence strategic decision-making.
A bit about the job: Develop and implement the organisation's health and safety strategy. Provide expert advice to the executive team on health and safety matters. Influence and contribute to the development of organisational policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and standards. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments. Develop and maintain health and safety management systems. Design and deliver health and safety training programs. Mentor and support health and safety staff. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Prepare and present detailed reports to the executive team. Communicate health and safety performance and initiatives across the organisation. Act as the primary point of contact for health and safety matters with external stakeholders. Lead investigations into health and safety incidents. Develop and implement corrective actions. Monitor and report on incident trends and statistics. Skills and experience we're looking for: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in health and safety is essential. Chartered Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) is preferred. Extensive experience in a senior health and safety role. Experience in developing and implementing health and safety strategies. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and management abilities with a proven track record of influencing at executive level. Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities. Proactive and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail. What you'll get for this role: Starting salary circa £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications). Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's).
