About the role
Macquarie Football Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead its growing sports organisation.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's operations, from strategic planning to day-to-day management, with a focus on driving the continued success and expansion of the business.
What you'll be doing
Providing strategic leadership and direction to the organisation, setting ambitious goals and developing effective plans to achieve them.
Managing all operational aspects of the business, including financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Building and leading a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
Representing the company externally, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and the local community.
Identifying and capitalising on new growth opportunities, exploring innovative ways to enhance the organisation's offerings and reach.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience in sports management or a similar leadership role, with a proven track record of driving organisational growth and success.
Strong strategic and operational planning skills, with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
Excellent people management and leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
Demonstrated financial skills and ability, including experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
A passion for football and a deep understanding of the local and regional market.
