As a Library and Galleries Customer Service Officer, you will be integral to delivering exceptional community-focused services across our library and cultural facilities.

Primarily a front of house, library assistant equivalent role, you will work across our services, warmly welcome visitors, manage inquiries, and be a driver to boost exposure and visitors, through contemporary and progressive culturally based programming and events.
As a versatile team member, you will ensure seamless service delivery across both library and cultural programs, fostering enriching experiences for the community.

This role also involves leveraging technology, such as Spydus 10 library management software, to select resources tailored to individual client needs.
You will help ensure accessibility by offering adaptive technologies and guiding clients in using our collections, services, and facilities.
Your work will bridge library services and cultural engagement, creating meaningful connections within the community.

Conditions of Employment include:
Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and school holiday periods is essential, as is the ability to adapt to varied tasks and locations.
The role involves occasional travel and visits to external sites/depots, the requirement to undertake customer facing duties as required and a rotating roster between Monday through to Sunday; 8.00am to 9.00pm.
A Working with Children's Check for paid employment and a current Driver's License is essential for this position.

Your ability to deliver exceptional customer service in libraries and galleries will be crucial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle diverse situations with professionalism and empathy are key to success in this role.

Your tech-savviness, including familiarity with library and event management software, will help you navigate both library and cultural programs seamlessly.
The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III (or equivalent) in Arts Administration, Library & Information Studies, or a related field, and have demonstrated experience in delivering community-focused programs.
