Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)RPR Trades is currently looking for a strong and credible Maintenance Manager to join a large meat processing plant in Central Western Sydney. The Food Processing plant is one of the leaders within the space and are experiencing strong growth heading into the last quarter. This role will suit someone who has come from a similar environment or is wanting to take the next step in their career. This role will offer all the career progression and challenges a maintenance role will bring within a fast moving manufacturing role.About the roleThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance schedule of the food processing facility to ensure reliable operations, optimal performance, and compliance with safety and food standards. A critical component of the role is embedding a robust preventive maintenance culture. The role emphasizes the highest standards of food safety, people safety, and operational excellence.Key Accountabilities:Plan, oversee, and execute the maintenance strategy to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime.Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for all equipment, ensuring efficiency in production processes such as processed, shredded, and sliced cheese production.Develop and manage a preventative maintenance program for buildings, grounds and services.Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimise production disruption.Manage the maintenance budget, including parts, services, and tools procurement.Monitor system utilisation and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP requirements.Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address any maintenance-related risks to product quality.Maintain clean and hygienic maintenance practices to prevent contamination.Promote and enforce a strong culture of workplace safety, ensuring adherence to OH&S standards.Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to build technical expertise and operational competence.Conduct safety training and risk assessments for all maintenance-related activities.Identify opportunities for operational improvements in maintenance processes and equipment reliability.Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and calibration activities.Collaborate with production and engineering teams on projects to enhance factory operations.About youWe are looking for someone who:Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical both is desirable.5+ years of experience in maintenance management in the food industry.Great communication skills and ability to organise and drive teams.Proficiency with maintenance software systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office application (highly desirable).This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to bring their experience to a growing and expanding business, with industry leading facilities.In return you will be working for a market leader in the food industry and staff discounts with 10% performance bonus is available for the role.To be considered for the role follow the prompts and apply for the role through the ad, alternatively you can submit your CV to ******.
