The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Associate, Market Data to join our Data Capability team.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director Market Data, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the market data governance framework in compliance with IFM's roadmap architecture and design standards.
This role requires strong stakeholder management skills and a strategic view of market data vendors and data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of the market data vendor strategy and governance framework.
Manage business-as-usual activities such as query management, service renewals, and vendor reporting.
Assist in determining required data feeds from vendors for integration into downstream systems.
Maintain vendor inventory and costs databases, and report on usage and compliance.
Support the Investment Operations & Client Service team with efficient data use.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools for market data governance.
Educate business users on market data governance policies and standards.
Your Background and Experience
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with over 7 years of expertise in procuring market data services and managing vendor relationships during complex transformation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of market data governance and technology.
Over 7 years of experience in market data services procurement and vendor management (ideally within funds management).
Proven track record in supporting multi-market data vendor environments.
Strong commercial acumen balancing cost optimization and vendor relationships.
Experience implementing market data governance across multiple geographies.
Ability to liaise effectively between business, technology, and market data teams.
Experience across a range of Fund Management Applications e.g.
Blackrock, eFront, FactSet, Bloomberg.
Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Proficiency in data visualization, report writing, and presentation.
