Department: Vestas Technology & Operations > Frontend Engineering & Technology > Engineering Support APAC
Job Responsibilities: Provide technical support on all general mechanical components and drivetrain support, including but not limited to:Gearboxes Oil analysis Bearing analysis Mechanical endoscopes Condition monitoring Secure technical know-how within the group in:Hydraulic units (pitch system) Main shaft arrangement Blade bearings Torque arms Transmission systems Rotating units Yaw gears and yaw bearings Bolts & torques Create technical documentation and translate technical issues into business cases while supporting continuous improvements in SBU.
Act as the single point of contact for R&D on technical issues and collaborate with various service units across ASP to understand and address pain points.
Create high-level technical reports such as root cause analysis, inspections, and serious incident reports as needed.
Escalate issues and coordinate with the technology team to approve cost-out ideas for implementation.
Participate in various forums and contribute to cost-out ideas and turbine availability drivers.
Conduct data collection and analysis to derive projects aimed at reducing costs and increasing availability.
Manage technical projects.
Qualifications: Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of technical experience.
Wind turbine knowledge/experience preferred.
Project management experience (as project participant or project manager) is a plus.
Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Competencies: Proven expertise in the maintenance engineering of hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and bearings is a prerequisite.
Preference will be given to candidates with a mechanical background specializing in gearboxes and professional experience in industrial maintenance and research and development (R&D).
