Role Description: The Energy Analyst is a newly created opportunity in our Operations team in Future Energy based at our Perth CBD Office.
You will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and improvement of the strategic asset performance monitoring framework by providing meaningful monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation of performance towards the asset management objectives and of the supporting asset management system.

Job description:
Role Description: The Energy Analyst is a newly created opportunity in our Operations team in Future Energy based at our Perth CBD Office.
You will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and improvement of the strategic asset performance monitoring framework by providing meaningful monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation of performance towards the asset management objectives and of the supporting asset management system.
Job responsibilities:Detailed understanding of wholesale electricity market, both present and future arrangements, and use this knowledge to operate and dispatch the assets efficiently in the market.
Gathering, analysing and utilisation of market/OEM/O&M data, reports, stats to manage compliance and optimisation of commercial operation including but limited to Daily plant monitoring and performance analysis.Manage and prepare reports as per business needs including but not limited to weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, perform statistical analyses as required.
E.G., constraint analysis, settlement analysis, market prudential checks, preparation and co-ordination of budget and Budget vs ActualLeading optimisation calculation and statistical analyses as required, prepare outage forecast model, build dashboard and reports on range of tools (e.g., Power BI, PI, etc).Provide support for the achievement of deliverables for the assets managed under Renewable Asset and Operations team, provide support to ensure compliance of all of the PPA's managed by Renewable Asset and Operations team & work together with the third-party organizations on different projectsSupport asset engineers, production officer and Manager of asset and operations as require basis, co-ordinate activities and engage stakeholders to enable successful facility participants in the WEM.What you will bring:Tertiary education qualifications in a quantitative discipline e.g.
Engineering/Physics, Mathematics/Data Science, Commerce (Economics, Finance, Accounting)Completed or working towards post-graduate qualifications in a quantitative discipline is preferred but not essentialMore than 5 years' experience in an operation, analytical, modelling or forecasting role.Experience within an energy related (e.g.
electricity, oil & gas) or industrial/mining organisation.Experience managing generation operational performance or using market modelling software (i.e.
PLEXOS) to optimise market outcomes within the WA wholesale electricity market (WEM) or national electricity market (NEM).We offer:
