Senior Accountant

Hazeal Newman & Associates is seeking a senior accountant to join our team. This position is on a full-time basis Monday to Friday; however, flexible working hours may be negotiated for the ideal candidate.Remuneration will be based on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of experience working in a public practice.The role will include:Preparation of financial statements.Preparing income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies using various accounting software.The ability to perform reconciliations of accounts.Preparing BAS.Processing clients' Single Touch Payroll and superannuation.Setting up partnerships, trusts, and companies.Experience and competency using Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.High attention to detail.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.The ideal candidate:High level of attention to detail.Experience using a diverse range of accounting software programs.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Sound knowledge of income tax and GST.Minimum 6 years of experience working in a public practice.Hazeal Newman & Associates is a well-respected accounting firm in Port Lincoln.
